Elizabeth Honey joined the ACLU of Utah in September 2023 as the Director of Finance and Administration.
Before working at the ACLU of Utah, her background included almost two decades in accounting, HR, and administrative roles. Most recently, she was the Finance Director at the Work Activity Center and Administrative Director at Envision Utah, two other local non-profits in the area. She also spent time as a Senior Staff Accountant for Robert Half, where she helped various companies with an array of accounting needs. She received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from San Diego State University, hoping to become a lawyer someday. Still, her life went in another direction as she pursued her career in accounting. Now that she’s accepted her role at the ACLU, she feels her career has come full circle, combining her passions for law and justice with her skills and experience in accounting and administration.
Elizabeth was born in SLC but grew up and spent most of her life in Southern California. She moved back to Utah in 2014 and has enjoyed the change of pace that Utah has to offer compared to that of California. She enjoys all the changes of the seasons and exploring the outdoors. Her main hobbies include attending as many concerts as possible, taking long mountain drives, and spending time with friends, family, and her fur baby.
