SALT LAKE CITY, UT — On March 11, the ACLU is launching a new initiative called “People Power,” which will support and empower community members committed to grassroots activism and resistance in light of recent unconstitutional federal government actions. 

“People Power will provide community members like us the tools to engage with national debates and defend civil liberties on the ground,” said MaríadelMar González of Utahns Acting for Change Together, a community group focused on grassroots activism. González and fellow Salt Lake City resident Jeremy Davies are co-organizing a People Power gathering in Salt Lake.

WHEN: Saturday, March 11, 2:30 to 5:00 (Live-stream portion 3:00 to 4:00)

WHO: BY community activists, FOR community activists. All levels of experience welcome.

WHY: Because freedom can’t protect itself!
