The decision to have a child or not belongs to each individual woman or person who can become pregnant, their family, their doctor, and no one else. Politicians often interfere with that decision. Abortion is one of the most common medical procedures performed today, and it’s incredibly safe. But laws that make it difficult, if not impossible, for a person to get an abortion if they need one, particularly if they are poor, are increasing at an alarming pace.
The ACLU of Utah works to ensure that everyone can make the best decision for themselves about whether and when to have a child without undue political interference.
