The ACLU of Utah was proud to join Black Lives Matter, March for Our Lives, Planned Parenthood and the Utah Coalition of La Raza, at the front of the Utah Pride Parade through downtown Salt Lake City on Sunday, June 3, 2018.
We were "Open To All" at the Utah Pride Parade
This year the ACLU of Utah will be celebrating the theme of “Open to All,” in honor of Dave Mullins and Charlie Craig, the Colorado couple who were denied a wedding cake by Masterpiece Cakeshop simply because they are gay.
Because the ACLU believes that all businesses and services should be "Open to All,” we will be walking in solidarity with this courageous Colorado couple — whose case is pending before the U.S. Supreme Court — and the millions of other people who face discrimination in the everyday aspects of their lives.
Join us as we walk, dance, and chant through the streets of downtown Salt Lake City to resist the national and local policies attacking our LGBTQ community and equality everywhere.
If you can't join us for the parade, you can still visit our booth at the Pride Festival to renew your membership or pick up free civil liberties info and gear. We will be on the West side of the City County building on the north circle.
