Protecting the Bill of Rights in Utah since 1958

We Stand with Planned Parenthood

The ACLU of Utah welcomes the news that S.1881, the bill put forward by anti-choice legislators to cut federal funding to Planned Parenthood in response to a series of misleading and highly edited videos, has been stopped in the U.S. Senate. Every year, 2.7 million Americans trust and rely on Planned Parenthood for affordable, accessible, and high-quality healthcare and education services, including contraception, cancer screenings, and STD testing and prevention.

While we celebrate this latest victory in the war on women and the right to reproductive choice, we know that the fight is not over. As Congress gears up for a battle over the federal budget in the fall, attempts to discredit and defund organizations that provide women with reproductive healthcare will arise again. When they do, we will continue to stand with Planned Parenthood, and we will continue to call on our Congressional lawmakers to do the same.

TAKE ACTION: Sign this petition to protect women’s reproductive decisions.
